Check your eligibility for the new leadership and management funding at LCP

With Train to Gain now finished, the new way to develop the management skills in your organisation is with The Leadership and Management Advisory Service, available nationwide as well as in the south east and south west. If your business is eligible for this leadership and management skills training grant, you can receive up to £1000 match funded. In other words you could benefit from £2000 of training or coaching and only pay £1000.

• Is my business eligible for £1000 training funding?

Most growth businesses with 2-250 full time employees are eligible for the funding. With the similar Train to Gain scheme we saw all kinds of businesses take advantage of the funding, with anyone from engineers, accountants and architects to food distributors, nurseries and hairdressers!

• How can I claim the Leadership and Management funding?

• When is the deadline for the funding?

There is limited funding available for the Leadership and Management Advisory Service – less than the previous Train to Gain scheme. We recommend that you apply as soon as possible if you’d like to benefit.

• How could I make use of funding for leadership and management skills?

You can claim up to £1000 if you match it £1 for £1.  So for example, if you invested £250 you would have £500 to spend. Here are some examples of how you could use this:

• 1/2 day onsite leadership workshop on a topic of your choice
• Time with an accredited executive coach which includes a free ‘chemistry conversation’
• The support of a facilitator for 1/2 day senior team planning / strategy meeting

For a small contribution of £750 you receive another £750 giving you a total £1500 of development which could be used for:

• 3 1/2 day workshops for up to 12 managers as long as the MD/executives are involved
• An ILM level 5 Award in Leadership and Management Skills
